CLASSES
We are often asked why we don’t have our own studio.
We are not saying that we never will but at the moment we are happy to rent spaces from two charitable organisations, The Bridge and St John’s Recreation Centre where the St John’s youth club is held. So by attending one of our classes you are also helping support these charities who do a lot of amazing work for children living in Jersey. First Yoga for Relaxation Class Is Free – To see if you enjoy this style of yoga.
Drop in – We do not take drop-in students because we believe that the benefits of yoga will not be experienced unless you commit yourself to a regular practice. However, we also believe that no one can keep everyone happy and it would be unfair to ask a student to make a financial commitment to a block of ten classes which they then find they don’t enjoy. This is why every new student is offered a free no obligation trial Yoga for Relaxation class. Unfortunately, due to the format of the courses, it is not possible to offer a free class for the Yoga Nidra / Meditation courses.
Price – Yoga for Relaxation classes are £120 for a consecutive block of 10 classes. If you sign up for 2 classes a week in the same block it is £200. Yoga Nidra is taught in a course format (there are 3 different levels) and each course of 10 classes costs £100. If you miss a week, you can access a recording of that week’s class. Although most people chose to, there is no obligation to progress to the next level.
Class Size – Classes at St John’s Recreation Centre are limited to 11 students.
Booking – Before contacting Manju you may want to read this page to check if his Yoga for Relaxation classes will be suitable for you. In particular, please note that he is teaching a complete and balanced yoga but he is not teaching the advanced physical poses. Please telephone 728961 or use the contact page to book your place as some classes are very full. Classes run throughout the year but we usually take a 4 week break around Christmas to visit family in India and to study and practice yoga.
