My balance has improved and I am able to get my heels on the floor when doing the downward facing dog pose so I must be getting more flexible. "I have been going to Manju’s classes now since 2014 and I am so glad I started back then. I was 58 at the time and stressed out from work. Manju’s very gentle style of yoga allows those who are just starting out to take things in an easy manageable way allowing their body muscles and tendons to start to stretch in ways they probably have never done before and yet doesn’t produce the pain that new gym starters get. At the same time, his way of teaching equally suits those more advanced yoga students by providing an environment where they can push themselves. All in the same class! What I found was that over a period, without pushing, my body got so much more flexible and my core strength and balance improved so much. It’s hard to think back now and recall just how tight most of my muscles were. I have become more supple, active and flexible, and definitely much calmer! They are conducted in a way that promotes mindfulness with an emphasis on the meditation aspects.
