Welcome to
Sanjeevani Yoga
(YOGA FOR RELAXATION)
ABOUT
A traditional yoga practice in Jersey for people of all ages and levels of fitness – whether you are a complete beginner or you have been practising for a while and are looking to deepen your practice. Our main goal when teaching is for students to find that by the end of class they are happier, calmer, more relaxed and more at peace with themselves and with the world around them than when they first entered the yoga studio. Many of the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga will arise naturally from this happy, relaxed state.

SOME HAPPY PEOPLE
“Manju is a very knowledgeable and passionate teacher. He has a way of making everyone feel at ease and always welcome in class. There is never any feeling of pressure and he encourages each person to only do as much as they can and above all enjoy themselves. I love going to his classes as I always feel so energised and positive after class.”
Dominique
“I have been going to Manju’s classes in Jersey for six years now and they have changed a lot in my life. They have improved my physical and mental health. Yoga has given me happiness, confidence and a love for my body that I never had before.”
Ania
“Manju is a very knowledgeable and dedicated teacher. His classes have a genuine Indian feel about them that I love. I usually begin class feeling stressed and frazzled but always finish feeling relaxed and peaceful. I sleep so much better on yoga nights.”
Angela

OFF THE MAT
Rokpa Childrens Home
When the earthquake happened in Nepal in 2015 we really wanted to help as when I had a business in India I had many Nepalese staff and watching the footage of the aftermath really affected me.
Rokpa Soup Kitchen
ROKPA carries out a Soup Kitchen in Kathmandu from each December until the beginning of March. Local cooks and staff feed more than 600 street children and homeless people daily.
Seva Sankalpa
In 2013 and 2014 we ran some workshops to support Seva Sankalp, a home for destitute and at risk girls in South India that Manju has supported since 2005. We visited them both years to deliver the money personally.
Bitang Kids
In 2013 we ran a workshop to raise money to pay for one extra child to join a 3 day trip for “trash collector kids” organised by Bitang Kids into the countryside so they could spend time in nature away from their “homes”, the busy streets of Jakarta.
Kashika
In 2016 we collected toys for under-served children living in the Indian Himalaya (and also took the toys that we had to leave behind when we went to Nepal, see ROKPA).
To do this we joined forces with Kashika as one of my wife’s good friend Swami Kashi, is very involved with this charity.
