Yoga is not about making shapes with your body, it is about finding your true self and the asanas (yoga poses) are only part of that process. Paradoxically, your true self is selfless. When we recognise this we experience a tremendous freedom and the desire to serve others becomes stronger.

Yes, yoga does wonderful things for your body and mind but as mentioned on the “Benefits of Yoga” page, after practising for a while many people feel a greater sense of connection both to themselves and others. In classical yoga philosophy this would be explained as part of the process of breaking down our ego, in the tantric tradition it is described as the opening of the heart chakra.

There are many, many ways that you can serve others in every moment of your life and also many charitable projects that you can get involved in. Here are some of the projects that Sanjeevani Yoga supports. We would love you to get involved by attending a Workshop, buying something from our Shop or supporting niche projects that we run from time to time, like our toy collections for Nepal (ROKPA) and India (Kashika).
